Knitted Dorset

Well it's been a while since I started this project, and to be honest I have been neglecting it a bit over the last week or so. With this in mind I thought I would show you how far I have got, in the hope that I will get back on track!

This is the nearly completed section based on our 1st January walk at Sandbanks.

And here is the finished beach hut up close...

This will not be to scale as it is based on individual snapshots of different days out. More like a knitted collage of Dorset!
Then on 26th January we went to Lulworth Cove..
Blues for my freeform project!
It was a beautiful day and the blue sea and sky was amazing. That led me to knit this part..

I sewed in the fishing twine I found

Then it looked like this..

I saw this bucket tree on the way to the beach and thought it was truly amazing..
The Bucket tree!
It felt magical just to look at it. Buckets left behind from many many family holidays, collected and hung on this tree!
The next part knitted in were the cliffs..

Then the bucket tree, complete with knitted buckets.

So there we have it...

These are the completed sections of Sandbanks and Lulworth Cove. Next I am starting on Wareham forest.
